As someone who suffers from fibromyalgia, eczema, psoriasis and overall sensitive skin, what I put into my products matters to me not only as a business but also on a personal level.
Pure Essential Oils
When I first learned the crucial differences between essential oils and fragrance oils I was astounded. I have always been a lover of essential oils but knowing the harmful effects of fragrance oils, I couldn’t believe the widespread use of them in skincare and home products.

Non-Toxic Wax
For candles and wax melts there are many different types of waxes to chose from, some of which are a petroleum by-product that can be toxic when inhaled. In the products I make I use a blend of coconut, soy and beeswax for a long lasting non-toxic burn.

Packaging
You may have noticed while cruising the site that I very rarely use plastic packaging for products. This is for a number reasons, plastic releases phthalates which then can be absorbed by the product that you put on your skin. Glass and metal often help the product keep longer as well!
Natural Colorants
Many soap manufacturers use synthetic or chemical dyes to produce vibrant soap colors. Not at Wildside, while our soaps may not be quite as bright as others they are colored with naturally occurring substances, many of which you’d likely find in your own kitchen!
Oils & Butters
Picking carrier oils and butters for skincare and soaps can seem like a simple task, I assure you it is not! That is why I have curated different combinations to fit your skin’s needs, each has different benefits and characteristics in a final product.
Preservatives (or lack of)
Mo chemical preservatives are used in our skincare or soaps which means some of them will have shorter shelf life than other products. I believe it is a worthwhile sacrifice to keep only natural ingredients in the bottle.
